Reddit users reported the site is down as at about 2 p.m. EST on Thursday, with more than 20,000 people reporting they couldn't access the app.
In a post on X, Reddit said it's investigating the issue that is causing 'intermittent issues and slow loads for users.'
Although the outage is affecting countries around the world including Germany, the United Kingdom, and Canada, the majority of issues were reported in the U.S.
This is the second issue Reddit is investigating on the same day, with users reporting the app was loading slow and said they were experiencing 'intermittent failures' at 11 a.m. EST.
Reddit said on X that it had reportedly fixed the issue less than an hour later.
