Trump expands 'no tax on tips' to digital content creators

The Treasury Department has released a detailed list of 68 jobs that qualify for President Donald Trump’s “no tax on tips” policy, clarifying which workers can benefit under the new law. Notably, digital content creators were among those listed in the new privision.

Trump signed his One Big Beautiful Bill in July after it narrowly cleared Congress. The legislation included the popular “no tax on tips” provision, a policy the administration has celebrated as direct relief for millions of service workers.

According to Yale’s budget lab, roughly 4 million Americans were employed in tipped industries in 2023, making up about 2.5 percent of the national workforce. Until now, it wasn't known exactly which occupations would be covered under the deduction.
