Biden administration says 'misinformation' creates a 'heightened threat' for terrorism in DHS bulletin

The Department of Homeland Security under the Biden administration is increasingly looking within its own borders to focus on "misinformation" and domestic threats, rather than talking about exterior dilemmas or the foreign policy issues abroad.

The bulletin states that "several factors" contribute to the "heightened threat environment," including the "online spread of mis- dis- and mal-information." Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas explains that this is fueled by foreign agents who "seek to exacerbate societal friction to sow discord and undermine public trust in government institutions..." That's the threat.

It’s said from the start that this is the fifth National Terrorism Advisory System issued under the Biden administration.
